How It Works

From Enquiry to Sail-Away

Every operation runs under a Joint Plan of Operation agreed with both vessels, in line with the OCIMF ship-to-ship transfer guide.

  1. Send your enquiryShare the vessels, cargo, quantity and ETA. We reply with an operations plan and quotation.
  2. ETA and pilot bookingAdvise ETA on departure from the last port and reconfirm at 72, 48, 24 and 12 hours. Inbound pilots are booked 72 hours ahead.
  3. Pilot boarding and berthingOur pilot boards off the fairway buoy or at the Petroleum Anchorage and brings the vessel to the STS position with an escort tug. Fenders are rigged and checked.
  4. Mooring and transferThe mooring master (POAC) advises both masters through mooring, the transfer itself and unmooring, under the Joint Plan of Operation and the OCIMF STS guide.
  5. Unmooring and departureOutbound pilots are booked at least 24 hours ahead. The pilot disembarks about 1 nm off the STS position.
